Sea of Truth

We look at our past as water under the bridge. A current that takes away the mistakes of our youth. Sometimes our sins are washed back up onto shore. Sometime those memories are triggered by random smells, sights, or closely related events. No matter the depth or complexity of what took place, those things are never truely lost in our mind. Hidden but never completely forgotten. If only there were a vault to lock away such un-wanted memories. A safe or some sort to make these things retrievable only by choice. Some might look at that as running away from your problems. Others might view that as a break or well needed escape. Freedom of not having to relive those moments. No longer having to experience the hurt, the anger, the guilt, or any other emotion that may come along with it. Do you let it get you down or do you let it make you a stronger person? Do you view it as unnecessary torture of a guitly conscience or as a helpful reminder? You cannot run away from your past. Even if you bury your mistakes in the sand of regret, sooner or later the tides of reality will wash it back up. It's up to you to accept it. What will your waters reveal about you?

Choices

Life is full of choices. The decisions you make & the things you surround yourself with help shape your thinking & your outlook on things. Unfortunately there are no “take backs” in life. You can always try to fix things once there done but you can never go back and undo them. Some mistakes make you stronger. Failure is a good teacher. However, some mistake can really set you back. Some things you can never bounce back from. You can look at having a lack of resilience as an unhealthy thing. Some may feel as if nothing is too big to where you can’t recovery from it. Or you can take the approach that not all relationships, problems, etc…can be fixed. Therefore moving on with that part of your life may not be something you feel you can do. Sometimes throwing in the towel & leaving things at a standstill is not necessarily admitting defeat, but actually coming off victorious because you know you’ve done all you could do. Sometimes there aren’t any solutions. So with a broken situation, how can you ever have closure? If you don’t truly have peace with a situation then there is no motivation to move on from it. Life is complicated. Sometimes finding a solution or a way out is the most challenging aspect of a difficult situation. Everything is not black & white. When it comes to making decision in those “grey” areas, it shows what kind of person you are. With every decision you make its like you’re making a statement to the world. What are you going to say???
