Sea of Truth

We look at our past as water under the bridge. A current that takes away the mistakes of our youth. Sometimes our sins are washed back up onto shore. Sometime those memories are triggered by random smells, sights, or closely related events. No matter the depth or complexity of what took place, those things are never truely lost in our mind. Hidden but never completely forgotten. If only there were a vault to lock away such un-wanted memories. A safe or some sort to make these things retrievable only by choice. Some might look at that as running away from your problems. Others might view that as a break or well needed escape. Freedom of not having to relive those moments. No longer having to experience the hurt, the anger, the guilt, or any other emotion that may come along with it. Do you let it get you down or do you let it make you a stronger person? Do you view it as unnecessary torture of a guitly conscience or as a helpful reminder? You cannot run away from your past. Even if you bury your mistakes in the sand of regret, sooner or later the tides of reality will wash it back up. It's up to you to accept it. What will your waters reveal about you?
